At Etat Pur, we’ve developed four Active Ingredients, selected to help regulate a specific biological mechanism known to be involved in the development of acne-prone skin symptoms: : 

• Hyperseborrhea: excess sebum production 
• Inflammation 
• Hyperkeratinization: accumulation of dead skin cells

Each Active is used at its optimal concentration, the one recognized by the scientific community and tested in clinical study supervised by a dermatologist for enhanced performance. 

Thanks to our patented technology IN-SKIN™, diffusion of the active within the skin is optimized. The molecule diffuses deeply in the skin to act directly at the source of the concern. The result? Precision for long-lasting results.  

Salicylic Acid 2%: to help prevent clogged pores

A must-have for occasional pimples, subcutaneous blemishes and blackheads. This molecule helps reduce hyperkeratinization by disrupting the bonds between dead skin cells, making it easier to unclog pores and reduce comedones (blackheads). 

Propolis 750ppm & Succinic acid 2%: to purify the skin and help soothe inflammation

The expert solutions for red pimples.
Propolis 750ppm represents the power of tradition. Used for over 2,000 years in traditional remedies, this natural beehive-derived extract is rich in bioactive compounds known for their purifying properties. It helps calm blemish-prone skin and inhibits the growth of acne-causing C. acnes. 

Succinic acid 2% represents a new generation of blemish solution. This innovative biotechnological molecule is gaining recognition within the scientific community for its efficacy on blemishes and visible signs of inflammation. It also helps limit the proliferation of C. acnes and soothes sensitized skin. It is a high tolerance molecule, perfectly suitable for sensitive acne-prone skin, that reduces red pimples while being nondrying, not irritative and entirely respectful of skin balance.

Zinc Gluconate 3%: to help regulate sebum and shine

Your best ally for oily skin.
Zinc gluconate, at 3%, helps reduce the activity of 5-alpha-reductase, the enzyme involved in sebum overproduction. By helping regulation of mechanism, it reduces shine and limits the conditions that lead to new breakouts.

Beyond acne-prone skin: caring for healthy skin

Gentle cleansing, an essential step.

When blemishes appear, the instinct is often to try and purify more, cleanse more, scrub more. But too much cleansing, especially with harsh surfactants, can do more harm than good. It weakens the skin barrier, strips away essential lipids, and triggers a cycle of irritation, sensitivity, and even more breakouts.

Don’t Skip Hydration

It’s a common misconception: “oily skin doesn’t need hydration”.
In reality, oily or acne-prone skin is often dehydrated, lacking water, not oil. And when the skin senses this water loss, it can overcompensate by producing even more sebum, worsening shine and clogging pores. The result? A vicious cycle of dehydration, overproduction, and breakouts.

Hydration is different than nutrition. Where hydration provides water, nutrition delivers lipids (fats). Acne-prone skin needs water to function properly, but too many lipids can overload it, creating an occlusive environment where imperfections thrive.
